Smokey Point, Washington The Snohomish County FC Women’s Steelheads had their first-ever league match this past Sunday, May 15th. It was an exciting match that finished with a final score of 5-1. The match was fairly clean for both teams and only saw 3 yellow cards at the end of the second half. One for the Steelheads and two for OVF Alliance. Possession slightly favored the Steelheads which provided an abundance of opportunities for scoring. “We are proud of how the women came together to play as a team for the first time. A Hard fought, and VERY physical match against the All-Stars in Wenatchee that finished in a 1-2 defeat of the Steelheads. The match saw 12 yellow cards and two red cards between both teams. REDMOND, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads Men kicked off their 2022 Cascadia Premier League (CPL) season with a 2-1 victory over the Goats of Kirkland FC on Saturday April 30 at Grass Lawn Park in Redmond. It was the third straight league opener win for the Fish dating back to 2019 and the very first win for SnoCo FC over the Goats. TACOMA, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads Indoor Women’s team beat the Tacoma Galaxy 5-4 on Saturday night at the Tacoma Soccer Center to claim top spot in the Northwest Premier League Indoor (NWPLi) regular season. The accomplishment means SnoCo FC will host the NWPLi Championship Match on Saturday April 23 at 7 PM at the Snohomish Sports Dome. It was SnoCo FC’s sixth straight victory. OLYMPIA, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads beat the Oly Town Artesians 6-5 in a pulsating finish on Saturday night at The Pavilion on the campus of The Evergreen State College to claim a spot in the 2022 Northwest Premier League Indoor championship match. Seattle won the 2021 Fall season title in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Pacific Northwest Conference. Last week the Fish beat Bellevue Athletic 3-1.
