Dagi Kesim Named Head Coach Of Everett High School Girls Soccer

EVERETT, WA—Snohomish County FC Technical Director of Soccer and Men’s Outdoor Head Coach Dagi (Daghan) Kesim has been hired to coach the Everett High School Seagulls Girls Soccer Program. “I am excited to be a part of a school with such an amazing history. A school of champions,” says Kesim.

Everett High competes in the Wesco 3A. The school has a new athletics website at EverettSeagulls.com. The Soccer Seagulls have their own Facebook and Instagram pages.

The Seagulls held a summer training program which ended on August 1st. Team tryouts are next on August 23 before the playing season begins along with school in September.

“After a ten year break from high school soccer, I am up for the challenge to be in a position to help change lives,” Dagi says. “I want to teach kids not only soccer but also responsibility, accountability, respect, civil rights, equal rights. I want these young women to believe they can achieve anything men can achieve. I want to see Seagulls become future leaders.”

Kesim is a single father of two who considers his greatest life achievement to be raising his kids. He also values those in his larger soccer circle. “I see my players like family,” he declares, “I want their success. I will use 22 years of coaching experience to achieve that.”

“I want to thank Eric Jennings (Athletic Director) and Bruce Overstreet (Athletic Coordinator) for their support and guidance,” Dagi says. “I want to leave behind a legacy of hard work and a winning tradition at Everett High School.”
