Steelheads host WWPL match Saturday against Issaquah in Smokey Point

5-4-INSTA

SMOKEY POINT, WA— The Snohomish County FC Steelheads (1-0-0 in WWPL, 2-0-2 overall) make their Western Washington Premier League (WWPL) home debut on Saturday May 4 when they host the ISC Gunners of Issaquah (0-1-0) at 4 PM at Lakewood High School in Smokey Point.

Last week the Steelheads debuted in the WWPL with an exciting 1-0 win over Tacoma Narrows FC down in Tacoma. Now the club turns its attention towards establishing a home fortress in league play.

Already a Big Week

It’s already been a big week for SnoCo FC. The club broke through with some mainstream media coverage on Tuesday when the Everett Herald ran a feature on the Fish on the front of their sports section.

The team held training Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Thursday night four players who also compete with the Everett College Trojans traveled up to Bellingham with the school to play the Evergreen Premier League’s Bellingham United. Logen Flem, Cade Cooke, Gabe Acosta and Carlos Rodriguez have little time to rest after the spring match, which ended in a 2-0 win for the Hammers.
