SNOHOMISH, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads were founded back in 2017 and 5 years later the club is kicking strong and celebrating how it all began.
Using the hashtag #FishTurnFive SnoCo FC will be posting memories from over the years. We have already looked back at the introduction of the official 5-year anniversary logo and also how the name “Steelheads” won a public vote over the name “Cedars.” Now lets relive the moment in history when the Steelheads scored their first-ever goal. And what a goal it was!

Andrew Escalante helped found the Steelheads 5 years ago with his buddy Aaron Burns. So it was only fitting that he would be the very first player to put his name on the scoresheet for Snohomish County FC. It happened on Sunday April 9, 2017 at the Washington Premier FC Soccer Complex in Puyallup. The Fish played a friendly against former club South Sound FC.
The final score was not what the Fish had hoped for, but the lopsided loss was at least a beginning. Later on open tryouts added to the roster and more friendlies were played. Dagi Kesim was brought in as Head Coach and David Falk assumed the role of General Manager. The Fish were on their way.
