SNOHOMISH, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads will close out their 2021 Western Washington Premier League (WWPL) season this weekend with matches at Federal Way FC on Saturday September 11 and at Harbor Force on Sunday September 12. The SnoCo FC roster for the two matches includes plenty of players sourced from the Fish second team, Gala FC Pro Focus Academy (PFA).
“Gala PFA played their first season in the WWPL this summer as a member of the second division,” says SnoCo FC President David Falk. “They competed very well and at the same time were constantly sending guys “up” to the Steelheads.”

The 2021 WWPL season schedule has drawn out the season into September, making the roster depth provided by Gala PFA even more important. “We (Steelheads) have a lot of guys out right now due to college, injuries and other life circumstances,” says Director of Soccer and Head Coach Dagi Kesim. “We will try to win both matches this weekend and take second place for the season. The players coming over from Gala will give us a fighting chance.”
Steelheads General Manager Dorian Lair knows the importance of ending the season on a winning note. “We always want to finish as high up the table was we can, and right now the highest we can finish is second. So that’s the goal. We want a positive end to the outdoor season so we can build on that momentum indoors and then also back outdoors again in the new Cascadia Premier League in 2022.”
Saturday September 11, 6 PM, Steelheads at Federal Way FC, Saghalie Park
Sunday, September 12, 6 PM, Steelheads at Harbor Force, Gig Harbor High School.
