SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA— The Snohomish County Steelheads are excited to announce that Snohomish High School Panthers soccer star and 2017 Washington State Coaches Association MVP Jason Fairhurst (Saint Martin’s) has been selected in the 18-man roster for the club as they prepare to host Tacoma Narrows FC on Sunday June 10 at 1 PM in the 1st Annual I-5 Challenge Match.

Jason was looking for a place to keep playing over the summer and contacted the Steelheads for a look. SnoCo FC Head Coach Dagi Kesim was ready to put Jason into the mix. “We can tell that he is a quality guy,” says Kesim. “And we have been looking for more help at forward. He’s got room to grow and improve at that position and we would like to be a part of that process.”
Jason’s bio on his SMU page reads: Named the Washington 3A State MVP in 2017, along with 3A State first team, Seattle Times All-Area first team, and WESCO 3A first team… Helped led Snohomish High School to the 2014 and 2015 3A State Championships… Finished fourth and State champion runner-up in 2016 and 2017 respectively… Award winner of the Civics fankhauser award, Physical Science fankhauser award, and the Renaissance Award… Member of the Benedictine Scholars program… Played for Snohomish United Club team.
