EDMONDS, WA— The closest Dick’s Drive In to the Steelheads’ home pitch at Dick Cardinal Stadium in Smokey Point is the Dick’s on Highway 99 in Edmonds. It’s a 30 mile drive but on Sunday April 18 SnoCo FC General Manager David Falk made a point of stopping by on his way to the match. A few photos later suddenly the Fish found themselves retweeted and shared by the local legendary burger classic.
“Since I sometimes take the Edmonds ferry to matches, it has become a tradition to stop at Dick’s,” says Falk. “So I posted some photos with well-placed Steelhead stickers. It was a fun surprise when Dick’s retweeted our post on Twitter.”
The fun wasn’t quite done yet. SnoCo FC Director of Soccer and Steelheads Head Coach Dagi Kesim made his own trip to Dick’s. He posted a shot holding a bag of deliciousness while wearing a Fish shirt. Then supporter Felipe Aguilera followed by doing the same.
Hours later, the club was surprised to see that Dick’s had shared the photo of Kesim in their Instagram stories.
