Steelheads reveal WISL home match schedule at Snohomish Sports Dome

SNOHOMISH, WA— The Snohomish County FC Steelheads Men announce their 2021-22 Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) slate of home matches to be played at the Snohomish Sports Dome. The season kicks off at the Dome on Saturday November 6 with the final home regular season match on Saturday January 22.

The Fish host the Oly Town Artesians at 7:30 PM on November 6th. The WISL schedule then sees a balance of alternating home and away weekends as the Steelheads play the other five teams twice each. The opener on November 6 is the only ‘late’ 7:30 start. The other four home matches are scheduled for 7 PM at the Snohomish Sports Dome.

Going To A Match

The Dome can hold around 200 spectators. Parking is limited so carpooling is advised. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. The Dome accepts cards, cash and several forms of electronic payment. Drinks and snacks are available. Steelheads scarves, t-shirts, car flags and more are expected to be on sale, pending supply chain issues. The Dome shares its building with Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant, a popular local place which also sponsors the matches.

Getting Ready

In recent weeks Steelheads players have been practicing under Indoor Head Coach Jim Kessler’s direction. Kessler is joined this year by Vasco Rubio. In addition to tryouts and training of the “first team,” the Fish are also fielding teams in Dome leagues.

The Dome is adding Steelheads branding to its walls and front entry area. There is a new upstairs bar area at the Dome for adults featuring alcoholic beverages.
