Coming off of an emotional win over Nido Aguila Club America Seattle that snapped that side’s 15-match league unbeaten run last week, the Steelheads showed up ready to play again against the Gophers. Dadzie created an early chance in front of goal for Rajal Gounder that was snuffed out. The Fish were pressing the attack and in the 14th minute they earned a corner kick. Fabian Panduro sent one into the box that Lacey couldn’t clear. Dadzie jumped and deflected the ball to West who with his back to the goal headed the ball over everyone into the net to make it 1-0 Steelheads.

Kojo did the scoring himself in the 32nd minute when he calmly finished on the run with a roller. Five minutes later Jacen Stein made it 3-0 for the Fish when his free kick bounced in front of the Lacey keeper and then into the goal. The referee and linesman discussed the play, which saw West near the keeper as the ball bounced. The decision was goal SnoCo FC.

In the second half the domination continued. Snohomish was awarded a penalty kick but John Troka’s try was saved. A few minutes later in the 52nd Hector Palomera and the Fish got their 4th goal on a fortunate play where Hector jumped and the ball bounced off of his backside into the far corner of the Lacey goal.

Kojo Dadzie finished the scoring for the Fish with a banger in the 82nd minute. A long throw from Troka settled at the top of the box and Kojo turned on it with a volley blasted into the Lacey net.

Snohomish improves to 3-2-1 (W-D-L) in league and 4-2-1 overall. The Fish move up to third place in the WWPL table.

Dadzie has now scored in every match he’s played for Snohomish. He got a goal in his debut against Wenatchee, then the match-winner against Nido. His 2 against Lacey give him 4 for the season. He also now has 2 assists.
