SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA— The Snohomish County Steelheads are pleased to announce that the club will be hosting the 2017 Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) Champion Seattle Stars at 3 PM on Saturday May 5 at Kamiak High School Field in a soccer Friendly. General Admission tickets will be $5 at the event.
The Steelheads played the Seattle Stars Reserves in Kent last summer and fell in added time of a 3-2 thriller. This season the Stars are expected to field a top-notch lineup of starters as they prepare for their league season the following weekend. Seattle is led by new Head Coach Santamaria Rivera.
Last weekend the Steelheads held the #2 finisher in the 2017 EPLWA season, Bellingham United, to a 0-0 draw in Bellingham. Now it is time for some Sno-HOME-ish action.
“We would like to thank Bellingham United and the Seattle Stars for the opportunity to test where we are as a soccer club right now,” says Steelheads GM David Falk. “I know our players are excited for the challenge and certainly the organization is looking forward to our first hosted match this year and trying out Kamiak’s Turf Field.”

The Steelheads will face the best two clubs in the EPLWA from 2017 in back-to-back weekends and then will remain in the county for a May 12 friendly against the Trojans of Everett Community College at 3 PM at Arlington’s Lakewood High School.
The Steelheads will have club scarves, car window decals, mini buttons and more for sale to fans at the May 5 and May 12 home matches.
