Tryouts a success; Steelheads turn focus to training and matches

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA— Snohomish County Football Club held open tryouts on June 1 and 2 at Lakewood High School’s Dick Cardinal Stadium and drew 45 players eager to join the new team.

The Steelheads are excited about the level of talent that made the squad and are now looking forward to training and playing matches over the summer. Watch the club’s Facebook page for news about games.

It takes a true ‘team effort’ to get a semi-pro club going. Now with a first batch of players ready to roll the Steelheads will also be addressing the business side of the operation, including getting sponsors and filing the paperwork for non-profit status.
