Open Tryouts Go Well

Open Tryouts were held on March 17 and 18 at Dick Cardinal Stadium at Lakewood High School near Arlington, WA. The Steelheads saw 36 players over the 2 days and built a nice roster of guys for the year. Since then other players have been in contact about individual tryouts. Read our report with photos and videos here.

Founders Club scarves are being mailed out this week.

We’ve Got Mail, So Do You

It’s been a busy time at Steelheads HQ as we get ready for 2018. Our first-ever official club scarf arrived from Ruffneck Scarves. See a gallery here.

FOUNDERS CLUB Members are getting their scarves first. Some of them even came to open tryouts and picked them up in person. Eventually they will go on sale to the general public.

The Hogue Family got their scarves at Open Tryouts.

Speaking of FOUNDERS – we still have spots available so spread the word!

Also coming in the mail were samples of our custom kit that we hope to order once we get a shirt sponsor. These are designed just for us and feature our distinctive fish logo prominently on the lower front portion of the shirts. See a few photos below!

Match Schedule

Because we are an independent club (not in a league yet) we are setting up matches one-by-one with local sides. So the schedule is always a work in progress. But we are trying to get as  many chances for our players to compete as possible. Watch for updates to our website Schedule page.

We will have away matches in April and May. we hope to host matches in May and June. Tentatively we have a match away on April 14 and a tournament away on April 21. Watch for official announcements soon.

Community Support

A really great group of guys came out for tryouts. Now we need the support of the county community to build the Steelheads for them and for us. We need sponsors (see info here) and of course we need fans! Please help us spread the word about the new semi-pro men’s soccer club in Snohomish – Steelheads FC!

What’s Next?

Our 2018 initial shirts (jerseys) should be here in the next day or two, as should our embroidered logo patches. When they get here the task of adding the logos to the shirts will begin!

The guys will wear these with black shorts and black or white socks.
