Steelheads meet with Director of Snohomish County Sports Commission

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads recently met with Tammy Dunn, the Sports Development Director at the Snohomish County Sports Commission. Representing SnoCo FC was club Community Liaison (and Snohomish County native) Ruth Nicholson.

Dunn shared some of the ways that the Steelheads can network with the Commission to increase awareness of the club in Snohomish County. Nicholson shared the general vision the Steelheads have for the club and also some of the current needs and issues being encountered as SnoCo FC establishes itself.

The Snohomish County Sports Commission is connected with many other groups and businesses, including ones that hold gatherings and often invite guest speakers. They also work with the hospitality sector, government parks and county schools to assist with lodging, practice fields and venues.

“It was a positive, productive first meeting,” Nicholson says. “Tammy now has her Steelheads scarf and we have established an important connection within Snohomish County.”
