Hard Fought Second Half Goal vs Twin City
After relentless efforts throughout the second half, The Lady Fish finally finds a goal from Kiley Elliano. The goal came after the Twin City goalkeeper mishandled a shot that rebounded to Kieleann Scheller, who was there to tap the ball into the goal. The rest of the match still saw a back-and-forth battle, but the game would end 1-0.

Away at Washington Premier
Puyallup, WA
After a win at home, The Lady Fish faced Washington Premier FC Sunday, July 10, in Puyallup, WA.
Shorthanded, but chances
With a shorthanded roster of 14 players, the Women’s team started the first half defending the kick-off. The Fish created quite a few 1v1 chances against Washington Premier’s back line early on in the match but were unable to capitalize. With a few minutes to go in the first half, the Steelheads conceded the first goal of the game. The half would end 0-1.
Weighted legs start to set in
The second half starts with The Fish having the kick and one less key defender. Kylee Billings has been a rock in the Snohomish defense, but coming back from a concussion she had to sit out the second half after a headache started from a header in the first half. Slow and tired, but still fighting, legs for the women’s team wouldn’t hold up through the half. Washington premier would score 2 more goals in the second half. Making the final score of the game 0-3.
“The Lady Fish came out with a flurry of opportunities and it’s unfortunate we couldn’t put a couple of our early chances away to really put WPFC on their heels in the first half. The final score is not representative of how we matched up with them. Second half we had to endure some key losses to the lineups due to injuries and the heat finally caught up with us following the hard fought shutout against Twin City the day before. I continue to be impressed with our team’s capability and execution of the tactics that we have been training in our first league season.”
Head Coach Jeff Adams
“We need more commitment to face teams like Washington Premier. We ran out of battery. I am proud of all the girls that showed up.”
Technical Director Dagi Kesim
Next Up: The Lady Fish will host Cultures United in their season finale at Dick Cardinal Stadium on July 17th at 3:00 PM.
