Open Tryouts for the CPL Steelheads Women will take place on Tuesday April 26 at 7 PM at Tambark Creek Fields. Go HERE to register.
On To Outdoor Steelheads For Some Indoor Players
“We expect to have some of our indoor players, who are currently competing for the NWPLi Championship, transition to the outdoor team,” says Steelheads Women CPL Head Coach Jeff Adams. “We also have some players already training with our Steelheads Men and during tryouts.” Adams knows a handful of the top indoor players are committed to other outdoor programs. That’s just life in the world of elite adult soccer.
The Steelheads Women will play 4 other teams home and away in a CPL Division format in 2022.
Tryouts and CPL Home Opener
“The coming month will be very busy with another tryout scheduled for April 26th, finalizing the team roster, and hitting training hard at least two nights a week along with the men’s team to prepare for our first home opener against Steel United at Dick Cardinal Stadium on May 7th @ 12:00.”
“Currently, we will begin training Tuesday evenings at Tambark and Thursday evenings at Martha Lake alongside the men’s team.”

Jeff Working With Dorian And Dagi
“I have been working closely with General Manager Dorian Lair and Technical Director Dagi Kesim as Assistant Coach with the Steelheads Men, who recently won 2 pre-season friendly matches against very good UPSL teams Bellevue Athletic and Seattle Lone Stars. Lots of scheduling coordination and training sessions both on the field and in the classroom continue to build our programs’ ability to be successful once we step into a game. I was also involved with beginning to build the SnoCo FC women’s program last year during the pandemic.”
So Much Talent Up North
General Manager Dorian Lair is looking long term at the new women’s outdoor team. “It’s our first season with a full schedule set up and we have some solid teams we are facing in the Seattle area, Centralia and eve Oregon. So it will be a fun season. Our big picture goal for the women’s outdoor program is obviously to be successful, but we are looking to establish ourselves as the go-to women’s program north of Seattle where soooo much women’s talent is.”
