Lady Fish Dominate OVF in Inaugural Match

Smokey Point, Washington The Snohomish County FC Women’s Steelheads had their first-ever league match this past Sunday, May 15th. It was an exciting match that finished with a final score of 5-1. The match was fairly clean for both teams and only saw 3 yellow cards at the end of the second half. One for the Steelheads and two for OVF Alliance. Possession slightly favored the Steelheads which provided an abundance of opportunities for scoring.  “We are proud of how the women came together to play as a team for the first time. The Steelheads’ mission is to help support local communities to help provide educational, physical, and mental wellness to benefit diverse & under-served youth and adult athletes in Snohomish County and surrounding areas. A Hard fought, and VERY physical match against the All-Stars in Wenatchee that finished in a 1-2 defeat of the Steelheads. The match saw 12 yellow cards and two red cards between both teams. SMOKEY POINT, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads earned their first-ever point against Wenatchee All Stars FC with a 2-2 draw on May 7 at a rainy Dick Cardinal Stadium. Steelheads beat Tacoma to finish first, earn hosting rights to NWPLi Championship Match

TACOMA, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads Indoor Women’s team beat the Tacoma Galaxy 5-4 on Saturday night at the Tacoma Soccer Center to claim top spot in the Northwest Premier League Indoor (NWPLi) regular season. The accomplishment means SnoCo FC will host the NWPLi Championship Match on Saturday April 23 at 7 PM at the Snohomish Sports Dome. It was SnoCo FC’s sixth straight victory. The Steelheads and Galaxy finish the 8-match regular season with identical 6-1-1 records and 19 standings points.
