Steelheads Indoor Women One Win Away From Championship Match After Latest Triumph

The Steelheads celebrate their April 2 win over Whatcom at sponsors El Paraiso Mexican Bar and Grill in Snohomish.

SNOHOMISH, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads Women Indoor team is one win away from clinching an appearance in the Northwest Premier League Indoor Championship match after they handled the Whatcom Waves 9-4 on April 2 at the Snohomish Sports Dome.

The Steelheads are in second place with 13 standings points. Tacoma Galaxy remain in first place with 16. Oly Town Artesians are just a single point behind the Fish in third place with 12. The top two teams after 8 matches played will qualify for the Final.

The mission is clear for the Steelheads: win at Oly Town on April 9 or at Tacoma on April 16 and the Fish make the Final. Win BOTH and the Fish would HOST the Final at the Snohomish Sports Dome.
