Play Local, Buy Local. Steelheads Partner With locally-owned Soccer Post

Woodinville, WA

In a big announcement for the club and soccer community, The Snohomish County Steelheads partner with locally-owned national soccer retailer, Soccer Post (Woodinville) in support of bringing physical soccer stores back to Puget Sound.

Soccer Post is the largest chain of soccer specialty stores in the US. Each individually family-owned and locally-operated in efforts to bring in-person stores back to the Northwest, after local competitor Soccer West scaled down to one store, before the covid pandemic.

Soccer Post focuses on high-quality balls, jerseys, cleats, custom team uniforms, warm-ups, and all other soccer needs. They have an extensive inventory that includes brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Kwik Goal, Mueller, West Coast Goalkeeping, and much more of the latest gear for youth and pros alike.

Local owners Cheryl and Christopher Rose are parents who are passionate about soccer and using the game to influence kids and adults alike, to become strong members of their communities. We asked them a few questions about the partnership:

Why did you choose to partner with the Steelheads?
“We chose Steelheads to partner with because of their commitment to youth soccer”

The Steelheads currently partner with local youth soccer club Gala FC based out of Mill Creek, WA where they provide mentorship, and competitive semi-professional opportunities for youth to participate in a program that allows them to get a feel for what the next level looks like. Starting in 2023, the Steelheads also look to plan local youth programming alongside the City of Lynnwood Parks & Rec Department to bring free weekly community camps and pro training to the communities youth. More to come!

What is your vision for the partnership?

“We hope that when fans and members of both the Steelheads and Soccer Post see us as partners, they recognize the support we provide for each other in the community.

What are you most excited about for the future?

“I am excited about the future of Soccer Post in the PNW. I think together we can continue to grow this beautiful game in the Pudget Sound area. When people hear about soccer in this area, I hope they can see the network of partnerships that make it happen.

“This partnership is huge for not just the club, but for the larger Puget Sound community! We have been lacking physical soccer stores for quite some time, and it impacted the way we all get our gear to play the game we love. I personally am excited. For the club, the partnership means better access to gear for our players, the offering of Steelheads jerseys and other merchendise at nationally recognized retailer, and a way to connect in person with the community in a shared vision. Our club is more than grateful for the generous donation and future support from Cheryl, Christopher and the Soccer Post family! “
