SMOKEY POINT, WA— The 2019 Western Washington Premier League (WWPL) Champion Snohomish County FC Steelheads today announce the club’s intent to participate in the 2020 Washington State Super Cup tournament.
The Washington State Super Cup kicked off last season as a open cup style competition between elite adult men’s teams. In 2019 the field featured clubs from the Western Washington Premier League and the Evergreen Premier League. WWPL side Nido Aguila Club America Seattle were eventually crowned champions.

“We are excited to offer more meaningful matches for our players,” says SnoCo FC General Manager David Falk. “We are curious to see how far we might go in this statewide cup competition.”
Steelheads’ Technical Director of Soccer and Head Coach Daghan “Dagi” Kesim sees the club’s participation as a logical next step. “We should expect and embrace new challenges as defending league champions,” he states. “This tournament will require our best efforts if we are to succeed.”
The opening round schedule could kick off as early as mid to late March depending on the size of the entry field. Match-ups are drawn at random, as are who will host matches in the tournament. New draws are held after each round.
