A Season to Remember: Thank You to the Snohomish County Steelheads Community

As the 2023 Cascadia Premier League season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to the entire Snohomish County Steelheads community. From our dedicated fans to our academy players, families, sponsors, volunteers, players, and staff, every single one of you played a vital role in making this season a success. While the final result may not have been what we wanted, the Steelheads finished with heads held high, with plenty to be excited about for the future.

The Steelheads season featured plenty of ups and downs, ultimately capturing a 2nd place finish in the CPL Baker division, with a record of 4 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie. Despite the challenges, the team persevered and earned a spot in the 2023 CPL playoffs. Unfortunately, their journey was cut short with a 2-1 loss to Eastside FC in the first round. Nevertheless, we are incredibly proud of the fight and heart our players displayed throughout the season.

Furthermore, the Snohomish County Steelheads also made their presence felt in the NISA Independent Cup. The team faced off against the Wenatchee all-stars in the Pacific Region Semi-Finals. While the team fell short on the road, their performance showcased the potential and determination that the organization has moving forward.

Our success on the pitch could not have been possible without our incredible community. We want to personally thank our dedicated fans for their continued support through the ups and downs of the season. The passion and energy you brought to every game inspire us to continue pushing forward. We also want to thank our sponsors for their unwavering support of the organization. Your contributions allowed us to provide our players with the tools necessary to succeed both on and off the field.

We want to extend our thanks to our academy players, families, and volunteers for their tireless efforts and dedication to the organization. Your support ensures the future of the Steelheads is bright and full of promise. Finally, we want to give a special thank you to our players and staff for their hard work, determination, and teamwork. The Steelheads would not be where they are today without each and every one of you.

As we look towards the future, we are excited to announce that the Steelheads will be participating in the upcoming Western Indoor Soccer League season. The WISL season will kick off in October, with pick-up sessions starting at the end of August. We encourage all soccer players, college players, fans, families, and kids to join us and witness an extraordinary season full of excitement, passion, and drive. With a newly established partnership with Arena Sports (Mill Creek), Steelheads Arena Matches are sure to be the place to be this coming fall and winter.

Big shout out to all of our sponsors for making this year possible! 16Eleven Stakehouse, Apex Culture & Arts Center. The City of Lynnwood, Sandra Sports Photography, Titans FC, Soccer Post, Snohomish Chamber of Commerce, Lair Athletic Co. and The Snohomish County Sports Commission.
