BELLEVUE, WA—The Snohomish County FC Steelheads pounded BeSea FC of Bellevue 9-0 on Sunday night July 7 at Bellevue Community College. It was the Steelheads’ 5th win of the Western Washington Premier League season to go along with 3 ties and no losses.
The Fish wore their Hex Grey shirts with black shorts and socks for the third time this season. In the three matches they have worn that combination they are 3-0-0 with 16 goals for and none against. Earlier the club beat Tacoma Narrows 1-0 in Tacoma wearing the Hex Greys. Then later the Fish took a 6-0 home win over Lacey FC in the same kits.

The win moved SnoCo FC into a second place tie in the table with Tacoma Narrows FC and Nido Aguila Seattle. All 3 clubs have 18 points. Using the WWPL tiebreaker rules to sort that out, right now the Steelheads are in 4th place. Tacoma have more wins and Nido Aguila Seattle have a +5 advantage in goal differential.
8 is Not (Nearly) Enough
BeSea FC have struggled all season to fill out a starting 11. This match was played 11 on 8 as the home side only brought 8 players. League rules say you need a minimum of 7 to play a match, so things went ahead with the onus on the Steelheads to make things happen. They did so by scoring 5 goals in the first half and 4 in the second.
Fabian Panduro had 2 goals and 2 assists. Carlos Rodriguez tallied 2 goals. Cade Cooke also got a brace. The other 3 goals were scored by Randy Galvan, Devin Shull and Rio Alcorta. Other assists went to Randy Galvan (2), Rio Alcorta, Carlos Rodriguez, Victor Villasenor, Jacen Stein and Daniel Luna.
SnoCo FC returns to the pitch on Saturday July 13 when they host the Grays Harbor Gulls at 4 PM at Lakewood High School in Smokey Point. It will be the last home match for the Fish this season.
